Yeah, it is. The soundtrack for the new season is dogshit though. It's all loud static sounds, mechanical rumblings, and chill-hip-hop-to-study-to.

eh, idk, the ambient music in the casino things is wonderful for example, and some of the other pieces like the one during the car crash scene are amazing too

I don't think Angelo is all that involved with what you're complaining about. Lynch, Johnny Jewel, and Angelo are all doing the music/soundtrack this season and we've heard very little of Angelo. It's mostly been Lynch's ('m guessing he's the one in charge of the electrical and mechanical ambient stuff) ambient stuff and some Johnny Jewel stuff.

is it just me or the xiuxiu one is better?

anyone know what pedals would give the same ambient delay/reverb for a bass as the intro theme? I know it's a synth but bohren and der club of gore have a similar sound

Definitely not for me. The Xiu Xiu version tries too hard. The Badamenti version is more tonally consistent and it captures the tone of the show better.
