No offense meant towards them, though. I'm just not a fan of theirs, but some of their stuff is enjoyable to me, anyway. It was pleasantly surprising that their song Paranoid Android was used as the ending theme for the anime series Ergo Proxy. It suited that series so well.

The thing that really ruins the hype of Kid A (that it's groundbreaking, a milestone, etc) is to listen to practically anything "experimental" recorded before it. But I guess there will always be overenthusiastic people it if it was their introductory album.

They're my favourite band of all time actually, followed by Blur and Pavement. I also think that OK Computer is the best rock album of all time, maybe even the best album of all time.

I find them extremely hit and miss. Bends, OK computer, Kid A and in rainbows are all among my top 20 albums, but I can't stand anything else they've released.

i was being a lil hyperbolic saying they havent released anything good. TKOL was pretty cool, notably lotus flower, codex and bloom, but ultimately it was just a bit lacking as an album, certainly well below the standard of pretty much all of their albums up to that point. and a moon shaped pool was really, really forgettable. the only song i really like off it is burn the witch. They ruined true love waits and the album lacks variety on so many levels.

But what I said about them not releasing anything good in a decade was actually completely false, as i just realised they released staircase and the butcher a few years back, both of which are brilliant (although supercollider and the daily mail both suck a bit)
