How deluded you have to be to think this album is "good" or a "classic"?
They are literally starving for a new animal collective album that doesn't suck or repeats itself so they have to say their old shitty music is "way ahead of its time dude!! they are teenagers making steretypical psycodelic music, Classicc!! whoaa".
I get the fact that panda bear and Avey tare were really young when they were making this album but it doesn't make it any better when it sounds pretentious as fuck almost all the time.
This type of threads makes /mu/ look like it's under the control of fucking nu-males or people that still have this "2007" mentality.

it's their best album
not their most musically mature or developed but the ideas that they play with are the most interesting in their career and aren't presented in the same caliber (danse manatee and hollinndagain aren't amazing)
makes me sad that we won't hear anything like alvin row from anco again
