I was lucky enough to experience it at raves in the late 90s. Really shocked me the first time I stepped into the gabber room, on acid.

Everyone looked like the white-trash "bad kids", all from broken homes. Looked like a bunch of edgy, Nazi meth-dealers. And they were dancing so hard to this speedcore shit. Like climbing up on the big speakers and pumping their fists.
