Music suggestion thread for a Victoria 2 mod.
Victoria 2 is a strategy game set from the years 1836-1936, so ideally the music suggested fits within that time periods style. Here are some examples of what the base games music is, (these should be considered guidelines):

(Mind you, 4 songs are missing, I could not find a good representation of these four. They include: Battle Hymn of the Republic, Jonny Comes Marching Home, Marching Through Georgia, Oh I'm a Good Rebel, all done by Jonatan Järpehag)
Should the base soundtrack be included or an entirely new soundtrack implemented?

Which should be completed first?

Reminder to report and ignore shitposting.
You should do country-specific because HPM was planning on doing that eventually anyway. If you do country-specific and it's good then he'll probably just adopt it which will save everyone time in the end, and keep him working on more relevant content.

Oh hell yea. Didn't even realize.
I'll give HPM the heads up in main thread.

Which nation should get *their* score done first?

If you're doing Russia you should obviously look into Tchaikovsky, but also the musical directors which he broke with. There's a lot more traditional music pre-Tchaikovsky which will probably work well.
If you can do it by government type obviously there's really good Soviet music out there as well.

White and based

>government type
I will most certainly check into this. Having soviet music tracks would certainly be an interesting change, but I will have to check into if it can be done. Currently finishing up some mathematics, will investigate.
>Tchaikovsky
Oooooooooh yes.

>Communist government
>L'Internationale plays continuously
yes pls

hahahaha
probably make that a "this is real communism" version
Not the fucking soviets. Soviet Russia is fucking gay and should get stuff last only for the sake of completion.

That is if I can get government checking for music to work.
If I can, I'll do two versions:
International Communist Soundtrack:
-Contains works produced in communist countries, internationally.
Real Communism Soundtrack:
-L'Internationale on repeat
It'll probably be done last, simply because getting the individual countries finished is more important than doing government types.
