Real talk this is one of the best rock records ever recorded. I've still yet to hear anything exactly like it

I agree. Listen to Up on the Sun and Hallowed Ground by Violent Femmes.

Yeah Up on the Sun is fucking great. Different vibe than MPII but probably the next closest thing by the band.

I agree. definitely the most underrated album I can think of other than stuff that is just obviously not meant for mass appeal. Few punk albums have such a unique sound.

Do you unironically enjoy their first album? It sounds like shit. II's bonus tracks are even better than the first album.
>>73478127
How the fuck is that their best song? It's not better than the worst songs off their next two albums

man i was joking. i still think that song is great in a hilarious way though. for meat puppets fans you guys are pretty uptight

Meat Puppets haven't been memed to death like some other artists on this board, so it was hard to tell if that was serious.
I bought it "BACK IN THE DAY" because of Nirvana Unplugged. Good album, kind of limited in scope but it does have this unique atmosphere to it, like Weird America but more modern.

i can't imagine that they ever will either. not hip enough for the image-obsessed posers here
