it has 0 structure, which the whole "cypher" ish quality of the album only adds to. production is also lazy as fuck, i get that its old and all but there are lots of similar albums from the same period of time that have production that doesnt make you fall asleep halfway through (the albums i mentioned in my previous post, capital punishment, 2001 and the chronic, 6 feet deep, nocturnal, chronicle of two losers, uncontrolled substance, last chance no breaks, dah shinin, goodfellas or pretty much fucking anything by nas, mobb deep or redman).

the fact that its supposed to be grimy and raw is no excuse either as quite a few of the albums i mentioned do that exact same thing but way better. pic related is one of those albums from the 90s that i havent seen in any hiphop discussion ever but is easily my favorite album from that time, its fucking perfect

the chaotic style of Enter the Wu Tang is actually one of my favourite things about the album. Guys like Ghostface and ODB just bring so much raw energy.
I think that RZA has made better beats later on, but I still think his production is great.

But that isn't that true. It doesn't follow some concept or whatever, but as >>73476822 mentioned, the chaotic structure really fits well.

You can find better produced shit, but me personally, I had no gripes with it whatsoever and it's rawness improved the overall atmosphere.
The reason why I love 36 Chambers so much and find it to be the best rap album to this day is this. I've still to find an album with better chemistry, line delivery and track flow, while also having great lyrics and some sick ass motherfucking burns, too. Just take a look at Bring Da Ruckus and how well MCs on it mixed well or take a look at Method Man's solo track on which he absolutely smashes. I might be in the wrong here, but I don't give a shit, 36 Chambers will always remain a personal 10.

I really enjoyed 36 Chambers (it's in my top 5 all time rap albums) but didn't really like Wu Tang forever that much compared to it. Honest question, what do people see in Wu Tang forever that makes it better than 36 Chambers?

production was a lot more polished on it. it makes sense to not like it when you're a huge fan of the raw 36 chambers since theyre pretty much polar opposites in that aspect
