Ska: Mento, Calypso, Jazz, R&B combined (The Specials, Madness)
2-Tone: A fusion genre with ska in it, i dont feel like looking it up right now
Ska Punk: Self explanatory (Mighty Bosstones)
Ska Core: Ska + Hardcore (Operation Ivy)
Third Wave Ska: Ska Punk with a more mainstream sound (Reel Big Fish, Less Than Jake, Catch 22)
I'm so sick of Third wave just being called "ska"

wow, the resident expert of all things ska, ladies and gentlemen.
Ska came before reggae.

true, but not in the form of white dudebros with soul patches, pork pie hats, button up shirts and cargo shorts
Ska was a Jamaican interpretation of '50s Doo-wop, placing the emphasis on beats 2 & 4 and prominently featuring rhythm guitar on the off-beat.
Ska is also a dance.
