I agree to some extent. The emotional range of jazz is limited when compared to classical, rock or hip hop, but there's a lot of nuance within its confines.

I also don't think there's a single jazz composer who's superior to Debussy and Ravel, say.

But it's delightful music that I get easily in the mood for and that's all that really matters to me in the end.
