Thoughts on Run the Jewels?

They're a rap duo with 3 albums
That's my thoughts on them
dude on the right could be a serial killer, and not in a cool hip thug type of way. the beanie doesn't fool me
>>73451510
im not too big of a fan
Really good. They make fun, energetic songs with solid raps. RTJ is nothing groundbreaking, but not everything has to be.
Pretty solid. Mike in particular is technically impressive and they've got a sound that is very much their own. Have kinda been retreading old ground with their latest album.
hamface p and his cutlery falling down the stairs beats were always terrible and now killer mike is just immortal technique 2.0

Beats are great, lyrics are pretty cringey tho
>>73451510
REEEEEEE THEY DONT LIKE TRUMP REEEEEEE
They were better as solo artists
First album was great, don't get how they blew up after that, but they're good

>hamface p and his cutlery falling down the stairs beats
I liked RTJ1, loved RTJ2 but thought 3 was above average at best
>>73451510
One good album an two alright ones.

I like their songs but sometimes they take their lyrical content a step too far, politically, and it puts me off a bit.
>Fashion slave, you protestin' to get in a fuckin' look book
>Everything I scribble's like an anarchist's cookbook
>(Look good, posin' in the centerfold of Crook Book)
>Black on black on black with the ski mask, that is my crook look
damn, I like this song
>How you like my stylin' bruh? ain't nobody smilin' bruh
>Bout to turn this mothafucka up like Riker's Island, bruh
nice rhyme scheme I guess
>Where my thuggers and my crippers and my blooders and my brothers?
>When you niggas gon' unite and kill the police, mothafuckas?
uh...what?
>Or take over a jail, give them COs hell
>The burnin' of the sulfur, goddamn I love the smell
ok...I don't know if--
>Now get to pillow torchin', where the fuck the warden?
>And when you find him, we don't kill him, we just waterboard him
I don't agree with --
>We killin' them for freedom cause they tortured us for boredom
>And even if some good ones die, fuck it, the Lord'll sort 'em
Jesus Christ

El-P is a really bad rapper.
At this point I just want another Killer Mike album.
>>73452650
stop listening to rap white boy, you can't relate
I'll be seeing them at Sloss Furnace soon. I'm hyped.
>>73452650
Was it autism?
RTJ1 was great, RTJ2 was peak, RTJ3 it became clear the group is holding El-P back.
>>73451510
More like Run by Jews.
>>73452650
why did you post this?
>>73454592
I don't know. Bad judgement.
>>73454605
understandable
>>73454334
This. I'd rather listen to a new El-P project than a new RTJ.
>>73454334
pretty much this. RTJ is good but none of the albums even come close to FanDam
mane fuck rtj trashest shit
>>73452650
I get what you were trying to convey
They're pretty good, but their politics are getting in the way of their rhymes.
Cut back on the libtard shit and they'd be 10/10.
Really didn't like 3 when it first came out. I still think it's their worst work, but it's listenable now that I've given it some time.
