Nick's Mother edition
Hi /folk/, I bet everyone here has listened to Nick Drake, but have you listened to his mother's album, Molly Drake? It's pretty great, and just as melancholic as Nick's work. There is even a track called 'Poor Mum'.
Didn't Nick perform a version of 'Poor Mum' as well?
Tried House and Land after seeing them just rated on p4k. Not bad and only 30min long
Have you ever been disgusted by a post?

I've only heard Mykonos and it sounded pretty CSNY-y (heh).

Folk is not an organic genre, it in fact originated in Irish and British music halls in the 1950s from music not unlike Molly's.

I think it's some pretty great music
Anyone ever listen to this band Fountainsun? Just discovered them, they had an album out a few years ago called Music Today, really strong stuff, psychadelic-ish.
Hey, I'm trying to compile a folk album
any recs?
>inb4 X isn't folk
folk in this case refers to both trad and revival, as well as all derivatives. Basically if you feel like it's folk, it's folk as far as I'm concerned
