I can't help but sperg out, but Gwar and Slipknot have nothing in common besides wearing masks. The best way I could describe the former is that they are the metal equivalent of The Aquabats, imagine thrash metal with cheesy lyrics being played by Power Ranger villains. The latter is humorless.
