it never developed a consistent harmonic rhythm and progression. That is my definition for proper 'music.' Ambient can often sound musical though. Gotta ask - what inspires you to write music like this?

Sorry for the immensely late reply.

Insofar as my interest in dungeon synth, dark ambient, etc -- it brings to mind the primordial, prelapsarian 'European golden age' of fantasy, adventure, etc. It evokes a mysterious element that transcends our reality and seeks something broader, but also sequestered and undefined.

As far as that particular set of songs goes, they're part of a trio that deals with isolation, confusion, hunger and exploration of underground dungeons.

There's actually a little story that goes along with it, if you read the lyrics/info.
