Sadly, not a reliable thing in life, at least not for the people on these threads, but I do take some of it seriously, it is a personal thing.

Music has no value, so seriousness is neither required nor requested...
As a warning, it can be a useful message... but look to deeply and you will find only lies...
As for Scrimshaw?
So say The Dead Musician lies as well, but Mr. Scrimshaw means to only bring your attention to the trouble developing right before your eyes...
But I digress...
The Dead Musician you seek? certainly...

Thank you dude, appreciate the good words!
Anyways, I'm listening to your stuff at the moment with the earbuds from my phone, not the most ideal way, especially for music like this, but it still sounds pretty detailed and enjoyable, one of the more interesting ambient projects I've stumbled upon on these threads.
I'll revisit this with my proper headphones, once I get around to them.
That being said, I'll be on the lookout for new material from you!

At first I thought that's a fidget spinner
>is music something you take seriously?
Depends. Like, I don't look at it as anything I'll ever make a significant amount of money from. Money and appealing to an "audience" just doesn't really factor in much. I want my music heard, sure, but I'm not going to change it to make more people like it or to try and make money from it.
That being said, from an "artistic" standpoint (man, that sounds pretentious) I take it seriously. I take the recording process and writing process very seriously, and I take the lyrical content and the story I'm trying to tell seriously. I dream of making something that might be acclaimed, but the only way I can see that happening is to try and make something really different stylistically with an interesting story that I still find catchy, at least riffwise.

This is confusing.
The guitar playing is solid at times, and I like the way it grows organically instead of feeling forced into a progression. But the vocals/lyrics...you have a pleasant timbre to your voice, but it feels like you're almost going out of your way to sing flat like Jordan Dreyer. I felt that way before the spoken word vocals, but now I really think it.
Like, the lyrics aren't exactly "bad," they're actually pretty good (lil melodramatic but that's what we love about emo isn't it), but you're packing them in and just rattling them off at times so the emotion feels forced or fake - especially with how it sounds to me like you have a nice voice and are going out of your way to sing badly.
tl;dr - has potential, but feels like bad La Dispute worship rn

Not super sure on all genre tags, honestly.
Anyway, my best friend just released his debut solo album that he's been working on for the past year or two. It's a concept album that kinda goes through his emotional states through his relationship and breakup with his ex. They met at college and had a pretty intense relationship until she broke it off really suddenly and left him for a life of fame. It really messed with his head so it's taken him a while to come to grips with the situation.
Any support from you guys is greatly appreciated, give 'em a listen and share it if you like.
