Any soulseek stories? Shit you somehow can't find on it? Hidden gems you've unearthed a single copy of or something on it?

Do you not realize that real people are uploading things? It's not "on soulseek" it's on an anon's computer and they can go offline. The whole thing works because many people have uploads of the same thing so that not everyone is downloading from a single source.

It takes literally zero effort to share stuff, just do it faggot.

How
>>
Some faggot had extremely specific requirements on how your folders had to be set up and how you needed to have flacs with proper logs and cues in order for him to consider adding you and allowing you to download his stuff. Then, to top it all off, he said you could only download one fucking album a week from him. Immediately blocked and unshared to that guy. I don't care what rare stuff he had.

Yeah, this seriously.

I mean, if I can take the time to rip really obscure CD's I find at thrift stores (only the ones with pristine discs) just in case anyone wants it and it's not on there, then you care share a couple fucking folders.

I'm the one who originally asked for the album. Thank you very much! I'm really curious to hear if it is indeed a flawless combination of Naked CIty, Frank Zappa, King Crimson and early Swans. And by the way, do you know the bitrate of YouTube audio? Have they released an official statement on that?
>>
>>73388355
My speed is decent actually and no one downloaded from me
>>
>>73387063
Maybe you're not sharing correctly, my 250 GB library is downloaded from within an hour of me running the program and my upload speed is less than 100 kb/s.
>>
Are the only people who use slsk these days people who can't get onto private trackers, or just choose not to?

I used to use it back in the day, but ever since I found OiNK there hasn't really been a point. When WCD shut down though soulseek was lit again.

Is there a reason to share my library on here?
>>
>>73391432
I'm pretty sure I shared correctly, I went to Options tab, then file sharing, clicked "share folder" button and selected my whole library
>>
>>73391607
I'm assuming at the same tab and beside the added library it says accessible to everyone or something?
I don't know, I'm actually only able to upload 15 kb/s at a time with soulseek and I still get uploads not only for rare stuff but really common stuff like Sufjan. As we speak someone is trying to download matchbox twenty from me.

Given that private tracker users are discouraged and in fact punished for sharing files outside of a particular private tracker, it never benefited anything other than said trackers. Not to mention that most trackers have an unreasonably high barrier to entry.
>>
Got soulseek running on my headless linux fileserver so now I can share my entire 100+ GB music collection 24/7. feels good.

On a related note, anyone have any experience with the program museek+? it would make what I'm doing a lot easier but I never got it working because its a piece of shit
