New single from my upcoming album which ties back in to the storyline my albums Leviathan and Trinity established, following after the events of Leviathan. I'll be releasing a series of novels to accompany this storyline, so keep an eye out.

My favorites fluctuate a lot. Lately, been listening to a lot of The Microphones and The Angelic Process. All time favorite has to be City of Caterpillar, or maybe Alex G just for how much I've listened. Third Eye Blind's self titled is big for me too.

>QOTD: Who are some of your favorite artists?
Oh, also this: My faves fluctuate a lot and I pull from a loooot of different genres but as for hard answers, I'd have to go with Agalloch, Devin Townsend, Ayreon, too many metal bands to count. Lately I've been back into a bunch of one-man projects I used to idolize as a teen like netra and Sun Devoured Earth.

I wanted to like this based off of the description, but the drums are mixed horrendously and the guitar sounds don't fit together at all. Did you put this out once already? It seems familiar, especially your vocals. The vocals overall are actually the best part of this by far. Really think you should work on your guitar tones and drums though. Feels way too manufactured, and not in a nice DSBM way. Is there any bass btw? If so, it's really buried.
I like your idea of releasing novels to go along with it. I was actually thinking of something similar for my next release, except more of a short story/novella inspired by a series of dreams I had that I'm trying to loosely tie together. Did a lot of weird art with crayons based off of them too, pic related. I'm not sure if it's even any good, but I'll get some feedback before putting it out there.
>>73383970
I think I did, I know I put it on Soundcloud but I don't remember doing anything official with it. Idk, it turned out the way I wanted it to sound, I'm used to working with way less for drums than I did with past stuff. My albums Leviathan and Trinity, which are part of the storyline I'm working on, were recorded with manually-played drums on a Yamaha keyboard (suuuuuuper shitty). And yeah there's no bass. I might give this another mixdown before I put out the album, but overall it turned out pretty close to how I imagined it in the context of the rest of the album; it's like one of the 3 songs that even use 'real' instruments and it's meant to stick out that way conceptually. I appreciate the critique though.
I say go with telling that story man, it can't hurt to incorporate as many mediums as possible into your project; kinda fleshes out the backbone of what it stands for and I definitely dig that art. It doesn't look like crayons (but then I know jack shit about visual art beyond photography)

Listened to the track posted, and I have to agree that some more mixing can be done here. However, I like the general atmosphere and feeling created, so I'll have to go through some of your other music
>>73385060
Listening now. I'm a bit finicky when it comes to noise. I usually don't like pure harsh noise but I enjoy when noise elements are utilized in other forms of music. I'm liking this quite a bit though. The noise doesn't sound like it is there merely to be grating and annoying, which is usually my issue with music like this. On this release, it sounds like it has a purpose to provide dynamics and depth. Definitely an oscillation between anxious, claustrophobic atmospheres and nearly calm and relaxing atmospheres. Well done!

>improvisation, experimental
All tracks are improvised.
Recording took place at an
abandoned studio and most of the instruments were made from junk found inside.
Described by some as "true gods of cacophony" and others described it as "just garbage" and "kinda trash"
First listen might be deceiving.
