What does /mu/ think of the Replacements?
let it be, tim and pleased to meet me is a solid trilogy and one of the greatest bands from the 80s but everything else is hit and miss
I loved their earlier punk stuff, especially Stink

I like that Alex Chilton song
Answering Machine is goat
I've been reading Trouble Boys, they have a cool story behind them.
Tim just clicked, ama
Let it Be is amazing
their punk is amazing and their alt rock is pretty inventive. great lyrics and had a decent string of really good albums
They would have been so much better if Steve Albini recorded them.

RIP RIP
GONNA RIP EM OUT NOW
Pretty average band tbqh, never understood the hype behind them. Their punk stuff are much better.

Why was Tim their most famous album? I thought it was great but not half as good as let it be or Sorry ma

OPEN WIDE
YOU LITTLE SNOT

It's because of bangers like Bastards of Young combined with the most accessible 80s production.
First three releases are GOAT!
You don't need anything after Tim.
Bittersweet is probably the best way I can describe The Replacements. Listening to Swingin Party now, sad song -- makes me want to reach out to somebody feeling down.
perfect band for autumn season
