What does /mu/ think of thid album or Aesop Rock in general?
*this
that's A$AP ROCKY
He's quite good. His rapping is obviously excellent, but the best part is his production. I believe he produces most of his songs. The beats on Labor Days in particular are incredible. That's probably his best album.

Blockhead produced 90% of labor days

I'm pretty sure that Blockhead does ~all of the production.
It's a shame they don't work together much any more.

the impossible kid is one of the best hip hop albums

You're knitpicking. On that particular album Blockhead did 9/14, which isn't 90%. Regardless just go through his discography to see how many solo and co-producer credits he has. I was simply pointing out that it's impressive that he's involved with making so many of his own beats, and that his beats are usually the main draw of his music.

I like Float, The Daylight EP, and Labor Days a lot, but they all could be trimmed by like 25% . Even the EP is like 30+ minutes.
My opinion on him is pretty middle of the road. I think he's great, but I also think he's sometimes spewing nonsense and definitely saying shit in an overly verbose and confusing way for the sake of being verbose and impressive.

He produced his last two or three albums, but the old stuff was mostly Blockhead.
