Its a great group and the upcoming album seems like their magna opus. Holding on is a superb single and Thinking of a place just lack some better production care.
About bands with the same sound... I dunno, to me they play some old style of music, kind of cominh from the 80's.

I feel like something fishy is going on with them. They're consistently reviewed very highly by most major publications but if you listen to their full discography it's really quite clear that their earlier material was the stuff full of energy and passion. Now they're just a little sterile and lifeless yet getting better reviews than ever before? I guess they fool people who think song length = ambition, so check them out if you're a brainlet I guess. I'll just keep spinning Wagonwheel Blues and pretending they called it quits there.
