Sup guys, so ive been playing for a little over a year out of a little crate kx-15 and i cant really get any good sounds out of it. Im i just not dialing in the tone right? it was originally used for my sisters keyboard so i dont know if maybe the configurations are different. does anyone mind explaining how the dials on this amp works i cant figure it out
i Play a squire strat with hot rails in the bridge
im thinking of buying a new amp should i get an all in one or a head and cab?
Thanks to anyone who responds my post its greatly appreciated
It's just that the amp is shitty. It's not even a guitar amp, it's a keyboard amp.
Lows are more bass and highs are, well more highs.
I'd recommend saving up for a new setup, but the most important thing right now is for the guitar to be playable.

Oh and I think a combo would be better to be honest.

Cool. Do you want a tube amp or a solid state amp, maybe modeling?

>modeling
>ever
Get a decent amp with a good clean or drive channel (depending on what you wanna do) and built in reverb, there are plenty of cheap distortion pedals that still sound really good. Modeling amps all sound really bad unless you're paying a stupid amount of money for them.

I dunno about that. I've read everyone praising the new Boss Katana amps.

I mean if OP is really just looking for something to dick around with and isn't planning on recording or doing shows it's probably right up his alley but if he's got ambitions I'd recommend starting with something a touch higher quality with more basic features. Honestly haven't looked into the Katanas so I could be spouting old memes.
