They're just being contrarian and pretending to like garbage like most Bowieshitters. They'll never admit that Bowie is at his best when he is being most catchy, but you know they'll never change their high RYM Blackstar ratings for autism cred.

There are three cynically pandering singles and literally everything else is mediocre filler to pad it out

>loving the alien (one of his best singles PERIOD), neighborhood threat, blue jean, tumble and twirl, i keep forgettin, dancing with the big boys, with absolute beginners, as the world falls down as bonus tracks
>only fault is that half of the tracks are iggy pop covers but bowie does them 10x better and they are rebuilt from the ground up to fit the aesthetic of the rest of the album
