Iron Maiden is actually one of the few big heavy metal/hard rock bands that kinda live up to the huge hype

Fucking Oasis.

They got some great songs, I'm not gonna deny it.
However, their sound is completely derivative. Not only that, but their first two albums, the ones who get all the acclaim, supposedly the "pinnacle" of modern british rock music or whatever, are hailed as this flawless masterpieces when they're really just decent pub rock. Plus, the production in those is AWFUL. Noel attempts a shoegazish wall of sound, stacking layers of guitars, yet it all comes out obnoxiously loud, drowning everything else. They're just piss poor attempts at wall of sound technique. I got no idea how no one comments on it. Siamese Dream has a similar approach yet it everything comes out much more dynamic and organic.
Also, both BHN and WTSMG have a couple of mediocre songs.

i like the theme and imagery they used and all, they were that phase between plebian rock n roll and mind raping devilish thrash/death/black...but still, i don't understand why people worship them so much, they were just a transition phase band and there were many similar bands like motörhead ,ACDC and judas priest
