If I make a rock/rap album, like say an Industrial Rap/Noise album with singing it, will I be lumped in with Limp Bizkit, Linkin Park, Kid Rock, and all of Nu Metal?

Honestly it's pretty much all image based. If you don't market yourself by wearing a backwards cap and looking straight out of 2002 you'll probably be taken seriously. And use an artsy album cover.

You'll be compared to the likes of Death Grips, Clipping, Dalek, and Corpus
Just make sure you do at least one thing vastly different or you'll get tossed out as a worse version of another band
