How do you feel about Operation Ivy?
Have listened to that album idk how many times since the 4th grade onwards GOAT

I know it gets a lot of attention as an excellent early ska punk album. Would you guys also consider it to be pop punk?
>>73304312
No fuckwit
It's a classic.
>>73304330
Rude
>>73304344
pop-punk is a bad word it was inevitable
>>73304359
Milo Goes to College is considered to be pop punk. You just have to deal with it.

Operation Ivy had better songs than Rancid. I love Rancid but they're more samey than Operation Ivy was
>>73304375
Agreed. I love And Out Come the Wolves and Let's Go but I can never listen to them fully in one sitting.
>>73304369
It's considered to be a foundation for it retard, not actual pop-punk
>>73304369
I don't know why it's considered pop punk. Maybe a couple songs, but by that logic, early Bad Religion (other than Into the Unknown) were pop punk
>>73304451
you can disagree without insulting someone you know? you wouldn't do this if you didn't have anonymity at your disposal
>>73304489
Do you have a vagina or something holy shit
>>73304557
Oh my God you are so immature please grow up and stop being so mean ugh
>>73304369
descendants being the rare outlier, pop punk generally sucks. And even then, I think the overall feel is too dark or realistic to be actual "pop punk"
>>73304557
>>73304583
confirmed?
>>73304206
Fuckin great album. One of the few things that holds up from my adolescent ska/punk/reggae phase.
>>73304312
no way
>>73304657 gets it. It's far too rugged to be pop punk. There's some hints of it maybe, sure, but it's definitely ska punk.
First ska-punk band and album I listened to. Very nostalgic, still holds up pretty well. I like it/10.
