There's a lot of third-rate neofolk that's derivative of early-mid 90's Death in June. For stuff that's actually good and was evolving around the same time, check out Sol Invictus and Current 93 like the other anons said. There's a sense of melancholy in the music of Current 93 that's almost overwhelming, and it's one of the few modern artists I've heard that handles Christian themes in a way that isn't corny.

If you like the more industrial albums that Di6 did later, check out The Moon Lay Hidden Beneath a Cloud. Not really neofolk by any means, but really strange post-industrial kind of stuff whose albums were heavily focused on different periods of European history.

Ahh, fair points; personally I think you may be conflating the Alt-right, or at least the old guard Alt-right, with the recent converts, often derided as the Alt-lite, although this distinction is muddied as several of the progenitors of the movement have embraced the more mirthful meme-spouting character of the Alt-lite. The Alt-right in general, both its older and newer components, is probably a bit too flippant, but it has certainly reached more people and attained more influence than traditionalism has, although I guess traditionalism by its nature as elitist and esoteric is not particularly interested in mass appeal.
