Because they're derivative of hardcore which became a shit genre shortly after inception. Grindcore, metalcore, deathcore, etc. are some of the worst genres of rock.

to me that sounds accurate. Deathcore just sounds like emos trying to play metal, and the "breakdowns" where it gets all poppy with vocal harmonies makes my ears bleed. but all the hot topic emos eat that shit up

Hardcore is total trash my man, once the first wave of it died down and the bands broke up it was dead. Name one good hardcore band today.
Grindcore, metalcore, and deathcore are just trash in all cases, they can't be defended. Metalcore and Deathcore especially. Grindcore should have just started and stopped with Napalm Death so awful shit like cybergrind, goregrind, or pornogrind would never have existed.
