Helter Stupid or Escape From Noise are usually mentioned as their best as far as I can tell. They're all pretty good though, and I think the U2 LP and it's various re-released forms is a pretty good place to start.

I've never heard that, but if it turned out they did it it wouldn't surprise me, though being as they were based in California and the Max Headroom thing happened in Illinois I'd imagine it was most probably someone else
