That's why
because it's music for 40 year old men who play guitar in their cover band

>dude guitar solos lmao

Terrible album, great guitarist. Sounds like stock music desu. Proves that being a virtuoso doesn't mean you have good taste. Steve Vai has made much better albums in the genre.
cool album but when i realized almost every song ends by fading out it kinda ruined it for me

And this just salts the wound

Because it's sooo bad. That goes for Steve vai and Ingwei meowstein too
I haven't listened to this in a long time but I really like the title track desu. Also, Hill of the Skull used to scare the shit out of me as a kid

Because /mu/ is a Vinnie Moore board!

But really, it's because the majority of /mu/ (Including /gg/ and /metal/) hate '80s shred.

Because it's not that interesting.

I liked it when I was younger but going back to it I find it pretty boring. I much prefer Satriani's first album and the follow-ups to this one, Flying in A Blue Dream and The Extremist. Sure the playing is good and the solos are fun but the riffs and melodies are boring as fuck.
I will give him credit for pumping out a lot of albums out over the years but IMO Vai does it better. When you listen to Vai's albums it's pretty apparent why Satriani puts an album out almost very 2 years and why Vai takes like 5 or more years.

Because we can discuss this instead
