Infact, screw all ya'll daws. I make music with freakin': Lmms, Audacity, Musescore, Anvil. VST host, various vsts including drums, sequencers, and synths, and I record wither my soundcard directly or I use a mic jack looped from my headphone jack for a lo-fi sound. I use my cell phone: oscilab, Caustic demo, and g stomper rhythm machine. I make just as good of music with all that and it's all free, and I tried downloading Cubase, and they require me to have a usb for a trial, so screw...Cubase. O.k? Just... no. Also daw thread, what's your daw? What features does it have to where it's SUCH hot stuff you need it that bad?
>Wah i can't learn a daw so it automatically sucks. They also want me to pay for it. I use a mic jack looped from my headphone jack for a lo-fi sound, and I use my cell phone, because I am so indie but believe me i am the best producer you'll meet on mu.

You might like FL Studio. Fl Studio is also the only big DAW that has life time free updates. It has a much easier learning curve too. I use FL.

The only thing that matters is what comes out the speakers. No one cares how it gets there.
how is lmms? i have it downloaded and i wanna make some beats to fool around, is it easy to use for someone with no daw experience?

i've been using mixcraft for years now, it's fairly cheap and bears resemblance to GB which was the first daw i ever used as a kid fuckin around with the pre-loaded samples. i also have a great respect for audacity similar to my great respect for cell phone microphones, it's such a wonderful tool enabling anybody to create the art they gotta create
