The irony level in his music is nauseating

It's an odd listen, can't decide whether I like it or not, it's not insincere enough to be parody but it verges pretty close at points
>Kirin J Callinan - Bravado
for the archive
What the hell can you even compare this to?

Agreed, never heard a pop sound done like this before

Loved his earlier, darker and sometimes humorous stuff. I have liked all the singles so far so looking forward to this.

As much as I think it is ironic, I think it is fully sincere, just a very fucked way of looking at it.

It's out now buddy
I saw this guy open for Jagwar Ma last year to a very sparse crowd, and I dont think he went over well at all. I actually thought he was pretty hilarious.

thanks

listening to the first track now and it sounds really wtf and not in a goodway
Fuck I'll never forget someone posted on here about 4 years ago, telling a story about how Kirin J Callinan asked if he could borrow his PA set up for a gig.
He ended up blowing the speakers in what was a disastrous cringefest of a show and then blocked the guy when he asked for money for the speakers.
This was way before he was well known.

This sounds like something he would do, honestly.
I think it's pretty good, liked the singles and now finished my first listen
I'll have to listen to it more to really appreciate it, like I had to do with his singles
I think it's a fun album, lots going for it.
I've seen him twice, once at a Crowded House gig and once he came out for Pond at Gizzfest - he's got an unreal stage presence
>"Wrapped up in plastic Thrown down the stairs Feeling fantastic"
I like.
