Terribly quiet mixing and boring ideas.
>>
My oxygen 49 is broken. What's a good replacement, /prod/?
>>
Is there any way to use a regular keyboard as a midi?
>>
>>73247823
kick and bass are occupying the same spot...

I like it but you've got problems with the kick and bass sucking up headroom to get a decent master. (too loud)

>>73250069
does it have midi out???????

if not then no

>>73248479
I really like the nuances in the first half of the song (like before 1:15) ... and those whirs (drills) around 2:15

I don't really know what to say about this one, not my vibe, but I think paying more attention to the details like you did at specific parts will help the rest of the song.

>>73248527
fuck off

>>73248652
i'd say don't skimp this time- i'm wanting a kontrol but it's a lot for something so simple. maybe get an older digital synth and just use that if you don't care about knobs
>>
Lol they are FREE beats

nobody gives a shit and nobody wants you begging for attention faggot

Would an Axiom 61 pro be worth buying for the right price? or is it too ancient?

What's a good vst for just general sounds? as in, has a big stock library of stuff? It's the only thing i'm interested in, really, the more out there electronic stuff is fine but if i'm wanting to do a score of some kind I really need the orchestral/classical instruments more. Seems to be hundreds of VSTs dedicated to electronic music and very for other instruments.

Omnisphere 2 seems good but doesn't have that huge of a selection, maybe i've not seen enough videos though. I'm still on Ableton Intro so hopefully when I upgrade the stock library will be enough there.
>>
Can anyone with music theory knowledge help me out?

I just want to come up with some chords for a feel good dancy track.

But everything I try to come up with just doesn't work.
>>
>>73250870
If you can't come up with chords, come up with the melody first and then add chords.

Most of the time the chords will fit the first note of the melody and will be on the same scale.
>>
>>73250625
ableton stock library probably won't cut it

look into kontakt libraries. I know some people like the orchestral stuff NI includes in komplete ultimate (the library included with komplete standard is just okay imo) but usually they buy kontakt and use a third party library, idr which ones though

>>73250504
well you caught my attention, I dig the glitches

>>73250870
what do you want me to come up with chords for you..? starting at c the only minor chords in that key are e a and b kind of
>>
>>73250625
steinberg's halion is a huge sample based collection that has at least one absolutely usable sound for everything
or just get kontakt and start collecting libraries for it
>>
>>73251037
I'll look into it, thanks
>>
>>73251160
I'll look into this too, thanks

tfw want halion 6 but broke as fuck

I am looking at Alesis V49 at a good price. I don't need much knobs but I do need full-sized keys for playing and programming. I'd say those 4 knobs, 4 buttons and 8 pads are enough to satisfy my assignable needs.

some track i started working on, haven't added the bass bc it's in the workshop right now, but want to know what you think about this rough mix

Going for a cheesy 90s acid house and mild jungle vibe here, lookin for feedback. If you dont like drug music then move along, only looking for feedback from people who know their shit. Feel free to point out technical flaws though, even if you dont enjoy the songwriting and sounds

Any thoughts on the vocal mixing and composition on this from the 2:17 mark on to the end?
