can someone explain why seamus is so bad?

It's an interlude track. The points between the short poppy acoustic stuff and Echoes are too far apart musically. It is important to give the listener a break to adjust to the new sound about to be unleashed.

the whole thing is very blues inspired though. just because they're not american doesn't mean they can't make blues music and psyche rock is hardly a genre and more of a culture. there's no real definitive definition of psychedelic music AND the whole album excluding echoes is some of the least psychedelic music pink floyd has made until meddle
