AE thread
how do you feel about them using Max/MSP so exclusively nowadays?
I've been listening to AEs discography chronologically over the last few weeks and I've just listened to Draft for the first time. I think Confield is the best out of the ones I've listened to. What's your guys favourite release?

for me it's probably Untilted or Quaristice.

Does Untilted carry on the sound from Draft? If so I will love it lol

I want to say elseq, but it's so vast and here and there I can't really judge it as a whole. Exai is more cohesive overall, and I'm more comfortable saying that for now.

Kind of, it sounds a lot more cold and harsh in places though. Very rhythm focused.
>>73211687
it's got more of a bassy sound

i forgot about Exai, that one's also a favorite.

I love their current sound more than anything. They're so good at max by now you can't even tell they only use it. I swear if they abandoned max right now and onyl used analog synths for the next release you wouldn't know unless they told you. If anything it would worse or at least not as detailed...
sounds great

Exai is so damn good.
Ep7 is so underrated

yes, squeller is a classic, and rewinding the cd to get into the negative time for the hidden track is the most AE thing ever
