Post here and let others tell you how they feel about how you spend your money
Ya. Decided to build my collection from scratch.
>>73198730
children of god is fantastic, good purchase
I got $250 from selling a YouTube video, so I went and bought vinyl of 'The Bones of What You Believe', 'Visions', and 'Richard D. James Album'.
>>73198906
Original or repress?
yeah i bought a couple more bandcamp digital albums
>>73198843
Fucking teengenerate! I met Fifi at a dive bar in Shimokitazawa when I was 18. Great guy and great band.
I recently got these
>>73198730
All Constellation LPs are packaged beautifully
Without a doubt the most vinyl friendly label
Every Constellation record I own has a little flair to it that makes other labels look lazy and manipulative
>>73198730
Nice catches.
>>73199671
Also, yes, that Bad Moon Rising copy as a "Best of Cyndi Lauper" sticker on it.
i spent all my money on an external drive to put all my pirated music on
I spend all my money on live shows
I saw Dark Tranquillity and Depeche Mode and I will see Coldplay, Flogging Molly and Blind Guardian
>>73198730
I preordered this today, It will arrive in September
>>73198843
teengenerate and the reatards are pretty underrated
spent way too much but there's no time in this life for regrets
>>73199880
seriously fuck flogging molly for stealing Alonso away from Electric Six
Blind Guardian are amazing live though. Made sure to preorder the live album as soon as it went up
>>73202253
>tfw Sing to God used to be like £25 on Cardiacs' website
I wish I'd picked up a copy when I first saw it. How does it sound?
Yes picked up this limited edition bad boy
>>73202253
>little bird flies into a big black cloud
Holy shit! How much was it? I've been searching for Blood but haven't seen it anywhere
guess how much i paid for that copy of uncle meat
>>73199671
how's that skinny puppy album? i've only ever heard too dark park
>>73198843
not a bad start
>>73202488
Just got it cleaned up and am listening now. It sounds fucking incredible. Clear and punchy as hell.
>>73202641
paid about $60 including shipping. Lowest price I've seen it for, maybe because it's missing the insert. Fine by me.
There were one or two copies of Blood on ebay and discogs last I checked but they're all going for $150+. A bit much for me.
Copped this yesterday at Amoeba in SF for $75 in NM condition. I'm surprised they priced it that low considering discogs prices
>>73202843
i mean that's a good cop but that's not NM at all
>>73199901
Would you expect a bunch of autistic fucks on this board to actually appreciate a great band like the Reatards?
>>73202900
that's how the cover art actually looks I think
>>73202959
Yeah that's how the cover of the original album looks, they cleaned it up a lot and made it brighter with the reissue.
>>73202900
Those "fade peel" on the cover is digitally edited onto the cover image
>>73202959
>>73202974
sorry im stupid
Yeah, just today I bought 4 king Crimson albums for 48 bucks on Apple Music. Don't even care that the Frippster Jew'd me out of 48 bucks. Totally worth every cent.
>>73203151
are you fucking kidding me????? KC is one of my favorite bands but i wouldn't pay $48 for all four of those on vinyl
you could find those on cd on discogs for like, 5 each plus shipping and have some artwork at least
also what's with the hate for sabb?
I just got into vinyl so don't stone me. I also preordered the Ok Computer reissue
>>73203832
good picks but u shouldve opted for the newspaper version of TaaB instead. So worth seeking out
>>73202253
THE ARM ON THE LEFT ALBUM.
PENIS.
grabbed these guys a yesterday
>>73199795
you got ripped off man. I'd take that garbage back and return it for the actual Cyndi Lauper cd
>>73198730
Wondering if anyone has the meme picture that was kinda popular like 3 years ago. It was of some /mu/core records some kid bought lined up. I think it was IAOTS, Good Kid MaAd City, some radiohead album, and Madvillainy or something.
Hasn't arrived yet but I took the risk and threw this in my cart because i needed a few more dollars to hit free shipping in amazon. Sounds very promising from the only song i can find.

>>73198730
bought both crystal castles albums on vinyl. just because.
>>73203448
$50 is a great price for four albums on vinyl, dude. Or maybe that's just Sweden pricing rusing me. On most shows albums go for $20 and in stores they can easily go for $30
Grabbed the middle two yesterday for just £22
top left is some single that I got new for £1, didn't know what it was
>>73202756
I also picked up Countdown to Ecstasy the other day but sadly the cover is p damaged and it doesn't sound so great
>>73198730
How much was Children of God? Been wanting a vinyl copy for a while
These + The Doors self titled
>>73209077
$48. It's in amazing condition basically near mint but they sold it for less because the corner was cut a little bit
Got this for 170$
looks like a female vlogger's youtube homepage in here.
>>73209543
Why Love of Life
>>73209375
That's not too bad. Nice find
Recent cops.
>>73209543
I preordered that Swans EP, very nice.
Recently got Cygnus X-1 (the record store day version with the entire song) on vinyl, Animals, Meddle, and The Mollusk for $100.
Maybe a bit expensive (I'm not sure what the price of vinyl should be usually) but I wanted to support my local record store.
I'm new to records so any tips for a beginner is welcome.
>>73202756
I usually see Uncle Meat for around $20 for a decent copy. How much was it?
>>73211771
not too bad. new records usually go for $20 each. though i think that version of the Mollusk is the reissue from Plain Recordings which are known for shitty quality control.
use discogs to look into pressing details and check prices. you could add stuff to your wantlist through there too but it can be addicting
>>73211867
Yes it is from Plain Recordings. I haven't listened to the record yet but it doesn't have any visual issues, would I be able to notice them right away or is it sound dependent only? Thank you for the advice.
>>73209543
shiiieeett
last record i purchased
>>73212001
the sound is the main complaint, i believe they just use the mastering from the CD. here are some other sources: https://www.discogs.com/master/32652-The-Mollusk/reviews#c547766

>>73212209
also comes with interchangeable album cover a bangin fold out sleeve design
>>73211805
marked as 10, copped it for 8 because it's missing a picture sleeve (i didn't even ask, i was happy paying 10)
i also got magical mystery for $10 and it's got the booklet and stuff
>>73209045
i want to pick up that twin peaks record -- how does it sound?
>>73208848
my copy of red was $8 (repress), itcotck was $15 (early pressing), itwop was $5 (first pressing), and larks was $10 (first pressing)
you need to find the right places (or sweden is fucking you over)
Got this yesterday. Pretty good stuff. Found out they're playing downtown tonight, but no car atm.
I bought King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard's Flying Microtonal banana like 2 months ago
>>73212353
That's really cool actually. Only downside is I've heard that the record sounds like shit
>>73212447
I'm not much of an audiophile but I think it sounds great.
>>73198730
Sure here's some of my recent purchases really stoked about the quicksand album I got it's an original promotional press
>>73198843
Cool
>>73199627

>>73202756

>>73212561

>>73212653

Also got a book at the used bookstore next door to the record store, gonna be going there a lot more in the futyre
Not able to post pic atm but I recently got:
The Cure - Greatest Hits (RSD Picture Disc)
John Coltrane - A Love Supreme (vinyl)

Radiohead - The Bends (cd)
>>73202843
But isn't the reissue sonically miles better tho
>>73198730
I'm waiting on some Residents and Laurie Anderson records. Not had much come in the post for a while.
