what's the point of using those terms if 99% of all music out there is "popular music"?

What's the point of making a wildly inaccurate post?

you can't seriously argue that there is more classical/folk music out there than pop music
>>73189009
Yes I can. Humans have been making traditional music for thousands of years, and there's enough of it recorded to make a basis for the argument. And there's tons of classical music that has stood the test of time as well. Besides, the terms don't regard the quantity either way. And that other Anon who bought it up was just being pedantic. It's pretty clear that op was talking about popular music genres.
