I don't know man. Generally I agree that average qualities still sound good but I tried listening to Amnesiac the other week on free spotify (160) because I couldn't be bothered plugging in my hard drive and it sounded like shit. Noticeably worse, and my speaker setup isn't that great. I had to change to listening to the one I had downloaded it was that bad. Mostly prefer downloaded over spotify but its not too bad for a pinch

It would make sense if he was talking about it being released only in 320kpbs since being able to tell the difference between 320kpbs and FLAC takes some pretty decent headphones (around the 200-300+ range). But 160kbps compared to 320kpbs is just awful. Even with apple earbuds I'm sure anyone can tell a difference. And if you're talking using headphones that are 50+ dollars the difference is just night and day.
