Bump again.
Working on acquiring a series of compilations focusing on /dark/ music in France. When I'm able I'll upload them to Mega or something and post them here.
In the meanwhile,
Contre Jour is a French post-punk revival act that fits nicely with the "Touching Pop" movement I mentioned in the last edition of /dark/.
I prefer their 2010 album, One Night At the Station, over their latest f/l (Passion and Fall).

Two of the members have another project in the same vein called NĂ¼ (actually one of them messaged me on Soulseek about it. Wasn't that nice of them?)

Might get some people disagreeing with me posting this one, but what the hell.
Worm Ouroboros is a post-rock/doom/atmosludge project consisting of members from The Gault, Agalloch, and Amber Asylum. Their music is pretty far from metal, in terms of tone and intent. It's very ethereal, deeply atmospheric. Cathartic in a lot of ways, but still mournful.
Their first album is one of my all-time favourites. I was lucky to see them perform and I thought they sounded even better live than on recording.
