What does /mu/ think of obese musicians with huge fat guts who still perform anyway?
I actually respect them more than svelte or toned musicians. They may look kind of hideous, but there's something grandly poetic about demolishing your body with food and still putting yourself on display. I like obese musicians.

They're fucking gross
Fat is an art and also should not be an indicator of health. The body type fat people have showcase roles and models that can fascinate the audience, be it in performance or the fact of the beauty of it.

It's a fucking gig not a beauty pageant show
>>73185622
>should not be an indicator of health
Fat people are fucking vile and have no self-respect.
Whether or not that has anything to do with anyone performing is irrelevant.
>>73185622
this made me realize there's very few fat people in bands
why is this the case?
It's funny when fat people fall down.
>>73186097
Nobody wants to see that
>>73186097
There have been a fair number over the years. But generally, the constant heroin and cocaine use tends to keep weight down.
>>73185853
That's not true although maybe I have no dignity. I just need a serotonin hit and food is my only option.
>>73185639
i don't care about what people say about that album. I really like that song.
>>73186097
Probably a combination of
>easily accessible drugs
>constant touring screws with your eating, sleeping, and other habits
>certain instruments, like drums, generally give you a pretty decent workout when played for 1-2 hours a night
>THICC

Pere Ubu doing "Birdies" was one of the best parts of that "Music War" documentary from the early-80's:

>should not be an indicator of health
Do Americans actually believe this?
>>73186150
Which is also probably why there are so few fat musicians. They're getting very significant and constant serotonin hits from playing.
>>73186097
If fat people aren't motivated enough to not become a fat piece of shit, then what chance are they motivated to make anything of themselves?
>>73186313
Fat people are not lazy. Where did you get this idea?
>>73186364
>Fat people are not lazy
>they just don't exert enough energy to not be fat

Depending on your perspective you're both right. Like myself I think most people are fat because they're trying to get serotonin hits. Now that I know this I think I'd be lazy if I don't change. I don't think many people have a good understanding of our four basic brain chemicals for reward.
Warren Haynes is a guitar God. That is all.
big nigga season
Ive always personally felt that fat people seem to have a much better singing voice. using my brain, ive come to the conclusion that their throat being stretched with food all the time must affect this

I can't that's the problem. I lost 110 lbs in 11 months from smoking massive amounts of pot and long story short it g it taken away and I put it all back on. At least now I have the opportunity to show that I can do it without drugs if for nothing else an example to other people who don't smoke pot.
Isn't there a fat ass death metal singer that has his titties flap around in their music videos?
