Why has their sound never grown old?

Midnight Marauders and We Got It From here was better than Low End Theory. I have nothing else to add I just wanted to get that out there.

I don't know I love Low End Theory as much as the next guy but if you're talking timeless ATCQ albums then Beats Rhymes and Life is the one.
That said I was listening to this album this morning and I forgot how great of a track Butter was

I agree, just used the pic. The Love Movement is also severely underrated.

Slum Village got their name and the sample for Intro from, which is kinda great

INB4 le no rattling hi hats
muh 808s and bell arps
Qtip and J Dilla were godsent producers. Simple as that.
what does ali shaheed actually do, he has production credits on a lot of songs, does he mix them or just add dj scratches to songs like solid wall of sound

He was a sample whiz according to Qtip, he'd often curate the samples, do the scratches, and work with the engineer, while Tip did almost all the programming/ sequencing

rattling high hats are shit tho
They're only good when done tastefully

My least favorite Tribe album. I understand it had a huge influence on the sound of hip hop, but I enjoy their other work way more.
