Are you baiting? Or just fresh of the boat from Reddit? Because your post very much comes off as such. Anyhow the obvious band would be Black Sabbath, who are widely credited with creating the first heavy metal album (their self-titled) though developed the sound from hard rock with a noticeable blues influence. If you haven't listened to the Yardbird's material then I'd highly recommend listening through their discography. In addition the Mother's of Invention whilst far more experimental than the two did start of as a blues rock band though isn't quite as accessible, whether you like or not is entirely up to you though I'd recommend giving it a few listens and keeping an open mind given the historical context of such. Go scavenge what's on this chart. Adventure a bit and as stated before give albums multiple listens, you might find a new favourite.

Not baiting, just want to know what bands people are into. I have never been on Reddit. Black Sabbath is and will forever be awesome! And as most people that know Led Zeppelin, I've also heard their first band. They've got some pretty good stuff in there! I'll give the chart a go! Thanks for the contribution :)

Seconded, there are things you can do that will piss of the mods, and emoticons are a surefire way to do just that.
