I think that Blonde on Blonde is a pretty terrible album and that Bob Dylan is probably the most overrated musician. Furthermore, lyrics-first musicians like Dylan aren't really even musicians in the purest sense of the word. Our society overrates these "musicians" because humans are communication-centric, and most people prefer words to music, anyway.

Lyrics-first musicians are a dime-a-dozen. What's truly rare are music-first musicians, but our society underrates these musicians, calling them cheesy, dorky, or even vapid because, like I said before, most people only listen to music for its communicative value. They have no sense of art and melody for its own sake.
