I haven't heard of this band. They're a little too normie for me though, I like Japan for the super outlandish weird metal

Those vocals and guitars are ridiculous. Insane to me that jap bands like this can play this shit live so well

Dir En Grey are legendary, have been around forever. Releases are pretty different, they made non cringy nu-metal back in the day. Check em out if you haven't

One of the most fun Japanese bands, funky, heavy, with j-pop sections and a unique genre jumping flavor. Most people compare them to SOAD, but I'm not really sure why

I found out about this band through Drummania. They are more post-hardcore but their earlier stuff is pretty metalcore. They are really catchy and fun though.

I think this is the greatest power metal band in existence. They are consistently good, which is pretty tough to find in power metal.

Hysteric Panic, I didn't really like this band's clean vocals, but I appreciate them for pairing these vocals with the j-rock/j-pop chorus thing, lol. The breakdowns are kinda janky though. But like at 0:48, that's some like slam shit, lol
