I agree, but I also think they should keep doing what they feel is right and natural for them, rather than try to rekindle their younger sounds and fail like so many other bands that have been together since the 90s. Most 90's alt bands that are still around make shit albums that sound like bad impersonations of their younger selves, so I definitely think it's good that Radiohead is constantly trying to change their sound as they age and grow.

That is what makes them so great imo. Good that they didn't just stick to rock. There's only so much you can do before every album just becomes monotonous and boring, sonically. After The Bends, no 2 Radiohead tracks sound the same, and that is precisely because they blend so many styles and instruments together.

I was gonna say listen to the Basement version but you've already done that so I guess it's just a matter of different opinions. A few tracks do miss a lot of moments that could've been developed into something much more, but overall they're really solid concepts. Bloom, Lotus Flower, Give Up, and the second half of Separator are absolutely brilliant.
