Curious to other Ambient projects that are worth a listen. I enjoy Gas' experiments

Biosphere is pretty similar.

Seriously, """experiments"""? There's nothing experimental about Gas, it's just ambient music mixed with nature soundscapes and light piano.
So how do I into Gas? Do I just listen to the compilation Nah and Fern? Or are the tracks on there to heavily remastered/mixed, which means I should listen to the original albums first?

Gas is on the edge of techno and ambient, dip a little into both and see which you like more then go have fun

Gas is definitely the most lush ambient techno artist I've come across, I'd definitely just go on RateYourMusic and look through the list of top ambient techno albums.

on Nah und Fern a few tracks on Gas are replaced and a few remixed, and on the rest of the albums some tracks are extended.
Honestly wouldn't know where to start. Most people start with Pop but it's drastically different from the rest of Gas's output so I don't know.
For what it's worth, I started with Pop and went from there. Konigsforst is my favorite overall

Just go chronologically. The self-titled is pretty enjoyable and accessable, and the Zauberberg (my personal favorite) and Konigsforst go hand in hand together. Pop and Narkopop afterwards are great as well.
you will probably like oval - 94 diskont if you like gas
not organic like gas but it's still got that layering going on

it was experimental for its time.... get off your high horse
