What the /mu/ think of The Traveling Wilburys?
Some great singles but pretty forgettable otherwise.
Comfy. Such simple songs but it's so hard to do well.
Not sure how Jeff lynne wangled his way in with all those greats though.

Also the 90s was a weird time to be a classic rock artist, in the era before the nostalgia circuit and just as the 50s rockers started dying.
Jeff Lynne, albiet too based for this earth, was a driving force in preventing classic rock from falling into obscurity.
The ethical merits of this are still debated.
