I'm not so sure. Jimi's music is some of the few records of the 60s that are actually enhanced by stereo. The vocals and drums are always centered for instance.

Let me correct that, they're USUALLY centered.
In either instance, I've never been bothered by Jimi's stereo mixes the way I've been bothered by say, The Beatles' stereo mixes.

That being said if you have a mega link to his records in mono I wouldn't mind having them alongside.
