shoegaze - because most of artists aren't even trying to make something interesting. the reason why Loveless was so great is outstanding production, many shoegaze bands don't care about production at all
harsh noise - because most of artists aren't even trying to make something interesting, they're too lazy. most of this genre is just really basic and shallow noise.

Honestly, I find 80's synth orient music annoying as fuck. This spreads to 80's rock too, at least the poppier stuff. I find it very hard to listen to.

I like emotional music, and I just find it so fake and materialistic. To me it just seems like there was no effort put into the music.
