The only reason to be mad about Artpop is that it probably wasn't mixed for vinyl and is just a digital transfer like OH NO I WOULD HATE IF MY RECORD SOMEHOW SOUNDED NO BETTER THAN A DIGITAL FILE lol c'mon

Nothing wrong with digitally recorded source audio being cut to vinyl. Fuck, they're been doing that since the 70s. The problem is that most modern - and especially pop - vinyl releases aren't going to be properly mastered. it is in fact a huge problem and is the main reason I don't like to buy new records. Unless you're dealing with a group or producer who actively cares, they just plain tend to suck.

Go vintage or don't bother.
