that may be true in a relative sense. acid doesn't spontaneously create a genius. but to the person taking it, the shift in perspective may come as quite a revelation.

I mean, imagine an overweight person taking acid and truly "believing" or "seeing" the ease or path of becoming healthy again. to healthy people, this has always been obvious...but to someone who is unhealthy, the realization or new way of seeing the problem may change their life.

alright but don't forget that alcohol was also illegal in the prohibition days, and when it was outlawed there was a spike in alcohol based crime (speakeasies, theft, murder, etc.). when alcohol was made legal again, all those crimes died down. the same thing would likely happen when pot gets legalized. the main difference between alcohol and pot (ignoring the law) is that you can get addicted and poisoned from alcohol, but not from pot. you never hear about marijuana poisoning or overdoses, because the OD threshold is something like 3000lbs per pound of body. these things combined make alcohol much more dangerous than weed, and yet pot is illegal and alcohol is legal. where's the logic in that?

Amphetamines of all kinds are perfect for anything aggressive, low-end heavy, and fast. Dance music/industrial/whatever. Death Grips (yeah, I know, shut up) and "dark" techno are my go-tos for amphetamine.

For phenibut, benzos, and alcohol, ambient and some hip-hop is really nice. Phenibut mixed with caffeine gets my heart rate up and makes me seek out high tempo music though. I also seem to enjoy pop music more on GABAergic drugs, though no amount of drugs can make top 40 enjoyable.

For LSD, almost anything sounds good, but I usually seek out something complex and textured with a lot of layers and rhythmic relationships. Strange or erratic time signatures or song structures or rhythmic patterns are also awesome with LSD. RDJ, Tim Hecker, and OPN have been my LSD gotos, though I try to mostly listen to new content on LSD to heighten the experience. But I even love aggressive shit with LSD. Death Grips and LSD (especially with some of their music videos) was one of my favorite listening experiences ever.

Pretty much anything works with weed for me, especially a strong sativa. I notice I get a bit more picky and oversensitive to repetition or boring sections with weed, so I try to look for progressive stuff. Pure indica strains make me prefer lower tempo stuff.

Racetams like oxiracetam mix really well with weed when listening to music with a lot going on at once. It seems to improve clarity and separation of sound (and colors), especially when I take it with a choline source. But it's very hit or miss.

Exactly, LSD is best for understanding and realizing things about yourself and your actions rather than any sort of grand revelation about the world. Though I do think that LSD truly lets you see some things at different angles, so while you may not come up with some grand new idea or theory, I think it lets you grasp certain concepts at a more fundamental and emotional level, and that comprehension can stick with you long after your trip.
