Anything else that sounds like this?
I listened to Adventure but it wasn't the 11/10 album that this is. More like an 8/10.
nothing else sounds like it
People liked to compare this to The Strokes' first lp but I don't think they sound that similar.

There is nothing quite like Marquee Moon, but for that jazzy, punky, poppy thing they do so well I'd say the Teardrop Explodes- Kiliminjaro or Buzzcocks- Singles Going Steady.

I think it mostly has to do with the dual guitars.
Interested to see if anyone responds with something truly similar to Marquee Moon. One of my favorite albums ever and I've heard nothing quite like it instrumentally.
Blank Generation is a must listen if you haven't yet though.. Hell formed Television with Verlaine but quit prior to their first album over creative differences. The instrumentals aren't as sophisticated, but it still has the same jangly proto punk-ethos

Anyone else have an issue with the singer's voice? I like the album, but sometimes it's hard to listen to any of the songs because his voice bothers me a bit.
